As we pause to reflect on this past year, it is not the numerous challenges we remember, but the many gifts & blessings from you.

UMAR is grateful to the individuals, businesses, and faith communities who have generously supported our mission to provide services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

By raising your hand to volunteer, by reaching into your wallet to give support, and by lifting up the most vulnerable, your good works and acts of kindness have made a lasting impact.

Our celebrations may look different this year, and though we are not able to gather, we are still moving forward together with hope to greet the New Year.

With gratitude and best wishes,
Have a blessed holiday season
From all of us at UMAR

03/24 Update: Due to the “Stay at Home” proclamation and restrictions for Mecklenburg County, the Charlotte Arts Center will be closed beginning 3/26. Also be advised that the Charlotte Friends of UMAR luncheon has been cancelled.

The health and safety of the individuals that UMAR serves, as well as their caregivers and family, is our highest priority. UMAR is closely monitoring and following the national, state and local guidelines for health protocols during this national crisis. This is a rapidly evolving situation and UMAR’s response to it will continue to evolve as well. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Your faithful support is greatly appreciated. UMAR has postponed all public fundraising events, including our Friends of UMAR fundraising luncheons, until such a time as safety allows. We invite and encourage volunteers, churches, friends and families to consider virtual fundraising or making a donation. We need your help NOW more than ever.
